Rotterdam University and NPUA Vanadzor branch join forces with ICN Group members ICN Solutions and ArchiDutch

The Civil Engineering department of Hogeschool (University of Applied Sciences) Rotterdam opts for the 3D CAD, modelling and virtual building expertise of ICN Solutions for their bachelor courses. The input of ICN Solutions consists of providing training to students and teachers in the application of state-of-the-art software. To this end, a program of eleven different training courses has been put together, covering the first three years of the bachelor course. In addition, civil engineering IT experts from ICN Solutions provide guidance during all four years of the course on practical assignments within the so-called BIM Hub. Both students and teachers participate in this.
Around 100 students graduate in civil engineering every year at the Hogeschool Rotterdam. Civil engineers design, organize and build major public and infrastructure works. Due to climate change, many new civil engineering works are needed in the future. Dutch companies and engineers are leaders in this field, and therefore often involved in international projects.
In order to stay ahead in terms of knowledge and skills, students and teachers of Hogeschool Rotterdam develop themselves during training sessions by ICN Solutions in the use and application of Autodesk Revit, Infraworks, Civil 3D, Navisworks software, and others. This allows them to virtually design, construct and optimize civil and infrastructure works - before and during the actual construction. With training in Autodesk BIM 360, virtual reality and augmented reality, the most innovative techniques for cloud-based collaboration and 3D visualizations are also an important part of this training.
Hogeschool Rotterdam and ICN Solutions are taking the bachelor course in Civil Engineering to an even higher level. They make it possible for students to surpass themselves now and as a professional in the future.
